Good Morning

Parks and Ambriah were so cute in the morning, they sat in their Jammie's and read books, probably 30 books.......
Here Parker is explaining the wonderful world of Richard Scarry to Ambriah....
Here is a picture of the whole reason for the visit, the 5 generation picture of Great Grandma Marie, Grandma Jenny, Cathy, Crystal, and Ambriah.....

Little Dragon's

We signed Parker up for an introductory Karate Class. He was soooo excited to go and he did pretty well listening to his instructor. Hopefully you can see him in the videos, he is sitting right next to a kid with brown hair....

We learned a few things about our kid today though......he doesn't know how to do push ups, sit ups, jumping jacks, or play dodgeball.....

He really liked it though and he was very excited when his teacher told him he will get his white belt next time if he does well!

Happy Birthday Grandma O!

Speech School

On Monday's Parker will be going to school for 5 hours!! He has preschool in the morning and Speech in the afternoon. Today was his first day of speech and he really seemed to like his teacher and his class. I thought he would be pretty tired after all that learning, but he still had enough energy to go for a 40 minute bike ride after dinner!

New Bike

The neighbor girls were riding their bikes in front of our house and in the cul-de-sac this morning and Parker wanted to play with them sooooo bad. He was running up and down the street and they would stop and talk to him, it was so sad. He tried to ride his Big Wheel but the pedals don't work right and he couldn't ride. We felt bad so we went to target and got him a new bike. We're suckers, I know, but he does need a bike, and friends, and something to do with his friends.....right?

He had so much fun riding his bike that we decided to go to the park and ride the trails after dinner. The big trail is 1.3 miles and we did a little trail too. It was awesome and we all really enjoyed it. Park's is getting pretty good on his bike too, when he falls off he just picks up the bike and gets right back on.

Keller Williams Party

Our realtor, the best realtor in the world, Renee Miller, invited us to a Customer Appreciation Party so we decided to go....We had Famous Dave's for dinner and there were lots of activities to do....

There was music, and Parker dancing for the crowd, a bouncy castle, we got a family caricature done which turned out really cute! We all had a lot of fun!

Parker won a $25.00 Applebees gift card in the drawing too!

First Day of Preschool!

We went and checked out 3 preschools and decided on one close to our house. The day after we looked was a Saturday and we were eating breakfast in the morning and Parker exclaimed "I can't believe I get to go to preschool today!!" It was heartbreaking to tell the kid he had to wait another 9 days.He was very excited to get started!
The first thing he ran for was the Lego table.....
This is his friend Owen, we give him a ride on Monday's after class to his mom's work....The first day went well and Parker loves it.

Labor Day

We headed to Grandma & Grandpa O's for our traditional Labor Day festivities......hamburgers and playing in the water.... Parker and Grandpa O love to chase each other around and throw water on each other....
Parker learned all about the joys of water balloons this year, here he is about to throw one at Grandpa.....
Daddy and Parker threw water balloons all over the driveway and Parker was throwing them 2 at a time, he didn't really comprehend how long it took us to make them all, and then they were gone in 30 seconds!

Parks requested fish for dinner (daddy & I were wondering if he's really our kid). Grandma O made him fish sticks and he ate them.
After dinner we headed to the park across the street from Grandma & Grandpa's house....

Parker met a little boy named Lucas there and they started running around together...

Showing off his rock climbing skills, although he was adamant about the fact that he was really "brick climbing"....

Ahhh, so sad to see summer go.

Our First Family Bonfire

While I was at work today the boys cleaned up and moved all the rock from the existing fire pit and constructed this fabulous fire pit! We have been so excited to have a fire. We got things going about 7:30 and Parker stayed up until around 10:00. We made smores and had a lovely time playing in the dark. Parker wasn't a huge fan of the smoke and decided to move far away from the fire.
The night was perfect....except for the mosquitoes....and the bats.
We can't wait to have our friends over and do it again!
