Great Grandma

School will start next week, and Parker keeps talking about how he will miss seeing Grandma Marie, so we decided to stop over for a visit. She loves seeing him....He was full of kisses too!! It is her 97th Birthday today and we brought her balloons and Parker wanted to give her 97 kisses......he almost got there too!!

Twins Game

We went to a Twins game today for Grandma Marie's 97th Birthday!! First stop: Meeting Spot the Target dog.... It was a little hot, and the first hour or so was a little rough since the game was changed from afternoon to evening and didn't even start until 20 minutes before Parker's bedtime....
But then Parks turned into a little angel and we all had a GREAT time!!

Since cousin Gail works at the Games she got us a great deal on hot dogs and some really good seats!

BBQ & Bonfire

Auntie Cathy is in town so we had the family over for a BBQ and Bonfire. Here's Duncan chillin' by the fire....
Auntie Maureen is holding Hendrix, he is Candi, Brian & Paige's new puppy and Phoebe and Duncan were very interested in it....

We had a super fun time, but for some reason not a lot of pictures!

Dentist

Took Parks to the dentist today......we tried in June and that didn't go so well so we thought we would try again. He did awesome. Not Rock Star Awesome, but awesome. No cavities and everything looks great. All it cost me was a McDonald's Happy Meal and 45 minutes in the playland, well, besides the regular dentist fees of course! Before the dentist we stopped in to see Great Grandma Marie. We took her out to the patio for a little sunshine.....

Guests

When are our guests coming over??? I must have heard this 8 bazillion times this morning! Our friend Amanda who is married to Mark, who is a life long friend of Matt's, came over today with their two kids Jake (11) and Mila (6). They live in Maryland and we haven't seen them in about 7 years, which means we had never met Mila!Parker and Jake are new friends, but only for the next 8 months according to Parker.....Parks didn't want much to do with Mila because she's a girl!! I have to say, these 2 kids were some of the nicest, most friendly and well behaved kids Matt & I have ever met and it was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with them (and of course their mom!) We wish they lived here so we could spend more time with them.

Future Goalie?

Parker stopped 2 goals at soccer today!! He rocked it!

M*I*S*S*I*S*S*I*P*P*I

Some things never change....the boy still loves going to the Mississippi River. Only it's a different part of the river than we used to go to. This area is much cleaner, and allows for the boy to get in and get wet! He loves to lay in it.....
And find weeds......

We make rock islands too, and try to get them high enough to stick out of the water...

We've been spending so much time outside this summer.....look at my silly tan lines on my feet!!
