Happy Halloween!

Parker had a great day today! He went to Ruby Tuesday's for lunch with Grandma Jenny and Great Grandma Marie. They had one of those candy bowls where the hand comes down and touches you as you reach for the candy. I guess he became a master at getting his candy quickly! Then they went to Great Grandma Marie's and her building was having a Halloween party and there was a clown there and I guess Parker had a blast. Grandma Jenny even asked me if he really needed a nap because she didn't want to take him home since he was having so much fun. I of course had a flashback of the only other time he didn't get a nap and I made her take him home (but a half hour later than normal!)
After dinner we drove out to Grandma and Grandpa C's and Parker rang his first ever trick-or-treat doorbell. We only went to a couple houses, but man, he got a lot of candy! He was so excited.
Then we drove out to Grandma and Grandpa O's and he got some cute cupcakes and 4 trucks and lots more candy and a really cute card that plays music when you open it. Parker loved that. He had a lot of fun there running around like a maniac while Grandma Arbye chased him all over the house. He was so amped up by the time we left! He only went to one other house in that neighborhood.
He got to bed a little late tonight, but I think he had a great time today. We are sad that Halloween is over.

Perfect Fall Day

Today was a beautiful fall day. Parker and daddy raked some leaves and played outside, even though Parker has a cold. Nothing stops this kid!He actually stood still long enough to take a good picture!
Today we also found out that Park's qualifies for speech therapy through the school, at least until he turns 3. The different people who observed/tested him thought he was an amazingly smart boy. He almost didn't qualify because he understands so much and knows so much. Now we just have to get him talking. They will start off coming to the house twice a month for therapy and then add more if needed. We are very excited to get going with this so we can hear what our little guy has to say!

Monster Cake

Parker is so excited about Halloween! Which makes Matt & I very happy since we love Halloween too! This is a monster cake that Grandma Jenny got for Parker, he loves it. We decorated our house inside and out for Halloween this year and we will be bringing Parker Trick-or-Treating to a few houses, even though he won't say trick-or-treat, and we probably won't let him eat any candy! I know, we are so mean!

Maple Maze

On Friday the 19th we took Parker and Lee to the Maple Maze. They both ran around like maniacs.... This is them on their way up to the giant slide...
Almost there! This was the first time Parker went down the slide, it is so high up that daddy has never quite made it all the way up with him. With a little encouragement from cousin Lee, Parker made it down the yellow slide!!

Choo Choo Bob's

On Thursday the 18th Matt took Lee and Parker to Choo Choo Bob's. Parker is really getting into trains. I think we are going to get him a train table for Christmas. Notice the black eye? Parker came running out of his room with a blanket over his head and ran right into the corner of the kitchen table!

Oh No!

Well, the day has finally come......Parker climbed out of his crib today. Matt and I heard a loud THUD and I ran to his room. He was just standing there, looking confused, with a big red circle on his forehead......no tears. I guess it's just about time for a "big boy" bed.

Room to Play!

Since Matt is temporarily laid off from work we decided it was time to get this playroom done! Three of the walls are painted blue and I have been working for 3 days on this striped wall! Matt painted the closet door orange and the inside of the main door green. We will be getting the carpet later this week and then LET THE FUN BEGIN!

Happy Boy!

Today we went to the open house at the Fire Station. Parker was so happy and excited. The firemen showed us around the whole station, Parker got to sit in a aerial ladder truck, a fire engine, and a Mobile Command Unit. They also had a big blow up air castle for kids to play in and he got a fireman hat and coloring book. In the picture he is giving a fireman a high five! I think it may have been the highlight of his life!!

Trains and Parks

Today while I was at work Matt took Parker to the BNSF Train Yard. Parker is quickly becoming fascinated with trains. I guess it was so loud there today that they could only stay about 5 minutes. After dinner we went to Grandview Park. We stayed until it was dark.
Parks climbed on lots of stuff....higher than I've ever seen him.
He's turning into quite the monkey!

Very serious about his climbing.....

Love

Yup, Parker LOVES baby Paige! Auntie Candi and baby Paige came over today to babysit Parker while I went to work. Parks wanted to touch her and hug and kiss her. And of course he poked her in the eye again! Auntie Candi said he was a very good boy today. After dinner daddy took Parker to Langton Lake Park again while I was at work.

Friends

After our ECFE class today we played at the playground with some friends. Time to say goodbye...Parker and Alex hugging, and Ivy waiting for her turn.
We all walked back to our cars together. This is Ian, Ivy, Alex, and Parker all holding hands.
Parker's in the back doing a little dance. Goofball.
