Finally......after hearing "army party me" for the past few weeks, the day has come and gone. It was such a nice day and it was great to see all of our friends that we don't get to see very often anymore. Parker had a blast and it was so awesome that so many people showed up in camouflage or army clothes, thanks everyone! Parker got sooooooo much stuff and was so excited to see everyone. He was a little difficult to get to bed. He kept saying "more army party me" and crying.
I can't even begin to write down all the presents he got! It was a lot, and he seems to LOVE everything!
We had little cupcakes with army men on them!
Thank you so much everyone for coming!

3 Days Until Army Party
So, Auntie Cathy sent Parker his present early so he could wear it for his army party. Let me tell you....he was VERY excited! He got this cool outfit in the picture and an awesome t-shirt, and dog tags with his name and date of birth, and the big surprise was the face paint! Oh my God! He loved it all and had to try on the clothes right away. He is so excited for his party!! Thank you Auntie Cathy!!

Tater Daze
Auntie Maureen & Cousin Lee invited us to go to Tater Daze today. It was Parker's first carnival experience and I would say he loved it. Here he is playing his first game, he won a small monkey...Daddy won him a bigger Curious George on a different game and Lee won him a snake.
Here he is on his first "ride" he just climbed up this thing and went over a couple bridges and down a slide....
Here he and Lee are on the trucks, I think Parker went on this one 3 times....he also went on the Barrel of Monkeys ride with Lee and daddy but he got scared and cried a little on it...

Here he is on the "Apple" ride that he begged to go on, but he seemed a little uncomfortable the whole time, although, there were no tears and he finished the ride...
Parker also tried cheese curds and funnel cake for the first time today. I had to tell him the cheese curds were just like pizza or else he wasn't going to try them. He must have gotten tired out because he went to sleep right away for nap and we haven't heard a peep out of him!
Thanks for inviting us guys!!

Stone Arch Bridge
After dinner we went to the Stone Arch Bridge. It was a beautiful day. We had to park a little ways away and we walked to the bridge and Parker said hi to nearly everyone who came close enough. He also got to pet several different kinds of dogs.
We walked past a group of 20 or so people on the bridge who were blowing bubbles and they let Parks wave the bubble wand for a little bit, it was a sea of bubbles! Then we met up with an ice cream cart and Parker picked out a chocolate chip ice cream sandwich. All along the bridge there were radios chained to the fence.....we never did figure out why.
Parker's shirt says "Lock up your daughters" and there is a lock on it. We got stopped by 5 or 6 people who made comments about how cute his shirt was and many people made comments as we walked by. We took these stairs and actually went down by the river and threw more rocks into the water.

Dancing Fools
We have been planning all week to go to the park with Alex and Dawn tonight......but......of course it had to rain just as we were walking out the door. So, we went to their house to play and eat our "picnic" dinner instead. This video is pretty self explanatory.

UPS Truck!!!
So, today must have been one of the best days of Parker's life! He got to meet a real UPS driver and see the truck up close. He loves UPS trucks and can spot them a mile away!! Today when Grandma Jenny took him to Great Grandma Marie's house the UPS man was there and Grandma Jenny asked him if he would pose for a picture.
After lunch Grandma Jenny took Parker and Lee to her friend's house to go swimming. Parker mostly sat on the steps and splashed water but Grandma got him to go in a few times hanging on to the floating noodle.
Potty Training Update: Parker woke up with a DRY diaper this morning and didn't go potty in his diaper all day!!! He is still not asking to go to the bathroom, but when told to go in and try he does!!
Parker also did something funny today. Daddy was wearing his shoes in bed while reading a night time story and Parker yelled at him and told him to take off his shoes and go to the naughty corner. Just for the record, nobody has had to go to the naughty corner for wearing shoes in the house....but it was funny!

Potty Training: Day 5
No pictures today, just an update. Yesterday we switched our plan a little. I decided to put his cool new undies on over a diaper and still take him into the bathroom several times a day to go potty on the toilet. It was to nerve wracking to wonder when he was going to pee on the rugs, or bed or chairs......I am happy to report that he didn't pee in his diaper at all today!!! He did poop in his little swimmer diaper while we were outside today playing in the water though. But I think the not peeing is a huge step. He only asked to go on the toilet once today, and of course that was after we put him to bed. But at least things are looking up!

Happy Father's Day!
We had a great Father's Day today! The weather was perfect and we did everything daddy wanted to do. First we went to Target at 8:30 in the morning. Then we came home and put our groceries away. Next we decided to head to the Stone Arch Bridge to see how high the river was, but there was a festival going on and we couldn't find a parking space for miles so we went to another area where we could see the Mississippi and throw rocks in the river.
Next we went to the Crystal Airport for the annual Father's Day Open House. We saw all sorts of military helicopters, planes, jeeps and tents and other gear.
Here is Parker & daddy in a military helicopter. Parker was so upset when we left that he cried on the whole walk back to the car.
After dinner we went to Grandma & Grandpa C's house to wish papa a Happy Father's Day.

Potty Training/Big Mouth
So, today we decided to do some hard core potty training. No diapers except for nap and bedtime. We went through 5 pairs of underwear, and he didn't even poop. I pretty much had to take him into the bathroom every half hour and make him pee, and in between that he wet his pants and then told me about it. Had to wash clothes, sheets, mattress covers. Fun day, but it's only day 1. Here he is with his cool Cars undies. He looks so darn cute!
Today Matt said "I can't wait to get my Father's Day presents" and Parker said "Lego's!" Yes, we did get him a set of Lego's, good thing Parker didn't tell him all the other cool stuff we got him. Guess we really have to start watching what we do and say around the little big mouth!

Water Table
Parker got this water table from Auntie Candi & Uncle Brian...I think for his 1st birthday.....One of his favorite things to do is play in the water. Sad thing is, it's almost the middle of June and he was so cold that we had to go in shortly after this! Hopefully soon we will have a real summer!

Another Open House Day
We had another open house today. To pass our time we drove to Rogers to look at a house that we ended up not liking. Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa C's house for hamburgers on the grill. Then we went to a little walking bridge that goes over Highway 100. Phoebe and I thought it was a little freaky. Parker loved it and ran the whole way across and back.
Here he is looking down on cars because he got so far ahead of us that we yelled to him to stop.
The bridge leads right to our doctor's office, here the boys and Phoebe posed for a picture.

Secret Service
Today our friend Mark dropped by. He is in the Secret Service and had to fly into Mn today to protect Mr. Obama. We haven't seen Mark since Parker's 1st Birthday! Here Parker is wearing Mark's official badge and holding his hand cuffs! Parker was in awe of him and kept saying "police car" because he thought Mark had driven a police car to our house but he didn't. He wore this badge around for an hour!
