Daddy and Parks

Today Parker and daddy went to the 10th Ave. bridge and looked at the wreckage of the 35W bridge again. While they were there a photographer for the Star Tribune took pictures of them (mostly Parker) and interviewed Matt for the paper, so maybe they will be in it.......Then they walked down to the river and threw rocks in the mud (since the river is so low) ......
Then they walked on some trails......

Tractors & Motorcycles

After nap we went to Grandma & Grandpa C's to give them a present because their 50th Wedding Anniversary is on Wednesday. We ran all over the yard. First stop: saying hi to the cow
Second Stop: tractor ride with Grandpa Duane....3 times, Parker wouldn't get off!
Third Stop: sitting on Grandpa's motorcycle!

3 Day Walk

This morning we went to the last cheering station to show support to my co-worker Linda who walked in the Breast Cancer 3 Day this weekend. Parker was really good the whole time we were there. Some ladies next to us were giving out Dibs Ice Cream to the walkers and Parker was freaking out because he wanted some really bad (thanks Grandma Arbye!!) That is a treat we have never had in our house but Parker loves when he goes to Grandma & Grandpa O's. He even digs in the freezer for them (they have a bottom freezer). That was the only time he acted out. We also saw a boxer there that looked like Phoebe, only he was a boy and much bigger. It was a great experience being there and we are already planning to go next year.

Just Like Daddy

I mowed the grass today. But the grass was so long from all the rain, and the fact that it hadn't been mowed in a long time because all it's been doing is raining. So when Matt got home from work he went over the lawn with the bagger to pick up all the clumps of grass I left behind. Parks helped.

Skills

My boy has mad skills! He woke up with no pajama top on. Yes, it would be impressive if he could take a regular shirt off, but this top has buttons. He was wearing a pair of pajamas with a top and bottom that match like grown up jammies and the shirt that buttons up. He un-buttoned every button too! And....while waiting for me to come get him, he threw all of his friends overboard!

Family Friendly Friday

Tonight we went to the Sculpture Garden's with Auntie Candi, Uncle Brian, Baby Paige and Cousin Lee. Parker had a fun time running around and even stayed up an hour past his normal bedtime. It was funny putting him to bed at 9:00 because it was dark out and he was really concerned about it. He kept doing a weird blinking thing with his eyes and wanting to look outside.Daddy & Parker on the bridge

Parker LOVED the Cherry and Spoon the best, I think because it has a fountain and little pond. He kept wanting to go back to it.

Seriously....

Random things I never thought I'd say:
"We don't dance with cookies in our mouth!"
"You would rather eat peas than pizza?"
"We don't touch poop."

Sidewalk Chalk

Today we played outside with the sidewalk chalk and of course Parker ran around like a maniac! Behind Parks is the world's largest Bot. By the time we were done the driveway was covered with all kinds of artwork.

Grandparent's Day

Today Parker spent time with both sets of his grandparents. Grandma & Grandpa O came over in the morning so Matt and I could do some work on the house. They played outside in the water and had lots of fun! Then after nap we went to Grandma & Grandpa C's house and Parker got to sit on Grandpa Duane's motorcycle and he took Parker for rides around the yard on the tractor. Park's liked it so much he didn't want to go home!

Mellow Yellow

Tonight we went to The Stone Arch Bridge and Guthrie Theater with Auntie Candi, Uncle Brian, and Paige. We wanted to see the 35W bridge for ourselves instead of on TV. The best view was from this "yellow" room on the 9th floor of the Guthrie. Although Parkie won't remember this, it was quite amazing.

New House!

Today was a fun day. We started off just laying around watching Curious George. Then we went to Earl Brown Park again and Parker ran around like a maniac (what else is new!) We came home, had lunch, and took a nap. After nap time Grandma & Grandpa C came over and brought Parker a Little Tikes Playhouse that they got from their neighbor. Parker was so excited and played in the house for most of the evening.
After dinner I cut Matt's hair and we thought we would see if Parker would let me cut his too, and he did! He was very good, and it was quick and easy. Now he is sleeping and excited for cousin Lee to come over tomorrow.

Cereal Eater

Parker is always begging Matt and I for cereal....so today we decided to let him try eating it by himself! He did really well! By the time he was done the table and his pants were soaked. But I guess he'll never learn if we don't let him try!
