Slumber Party

Parker's friend Alex spent the night tonight. It was the first time Parker had a friend sleep over. We ordered pizza and they watched movies and had tons of fun. I didn't even pose them like this, I peeked around the corner and they were sitting like this!

Kindergarten Graduation!

Well, my baby had graduated from Kindergarten. I'll admit it, I cried a little. Mostly during the slide show in the beginning, looking back at all of his fun memories, and new friendships.....

Lost Tooth!

We first noticed his loose tooth on Palm Sunday as he was eating broccoli......it took a couple months, but it finally came out!!

Chuck E Cheese Party

Wanna see some excited 5-6 year old boys?? Take them to Chuck E Cheese for a birthday party!! We wanted to have Parker's party for his school friends before school was out for the summer so we had it a month early.All of the boy's from Parker's class came except one, and his friend Alex who he has known since he was 2 also came......
Everyone seemed to have a really good time, we even overheard some boys saying this was the best birthday party ever!!

After everyone left Parker and Alex had a bomb pop....

He got lot's of great Lego sets and Star Wars stuff, isn't that every 6 year old boys dream??

Matt and I both volunteered for the day, it was really fun, but unfortunately it rained all day and some of the events had to be canceled.

Fine art, books, and music

The Spring Night of Fine Arts & Music also coincided with the book fair this year. Bought the boy 4 books, how can you so no to books?? He picked out his outfit. We got to see art work throughout the school, followed by a music concert.

Phoebe in the fort

For quite some time there has been a fort under Parker's bed. If we couldn't find Phoebe, we knew where she was!

Significant Scratch

Got a call from Parker's school that he would be coming home with "significant scratches to his face and neck". Um, that was an interesting call. Evidently a boy, who is a good friend of his, scratched his face. We were told it wasn't malicious.

Mother's Day

Parker started this Morning Glory from seed at school and brought it home for my Mother's Day present. I also got these two awesome flower pots!

Palm Sunday

We met Paige (and her mom & dad) up at Cabella's for some fun, and tattoo's in the morning, and then headed to nana and papa's house for some family, fun, and food!

Spring Carnival

Tonight was Parker's carnival at school.......He was one of the TOP 2 SELLERS of raffle tickets in his entire school! He got a VIP pack with 25 carnival tickets and he got to have a special lunch with the teachers and a friend of his choice!
He ate A TON of candy (blue airheads!)........

We won several cakes in the cake walk, he played several times in the bouncy castle, and got to hang out with his friends! Fun night!

Spring Picture Day

Back in my day there was only one picture day at the beginning of the school year. Parker's school has Fall and Spring pictures. He picked out his own clothes and wanted his mohawk put up.

River Watch 2011

The official start of River Watch 2011 is here. Today we went to a spot in Dayton where the Crow River and the Mississippi River meet. There's still lots of snow on the ground, but it's getting warm out!

Pajama Dance

Tonight was the Pajama Dance at Parker's school. He had a blast! He hung out with his friend Reece most of the night. He had dinner there, and lots of candy. He was hot, sweaty, and tired by the time we got there to get him!

Wacky Hair/Wacky Wear Day

Today was wacky hair/wacky wear day at school. Parker picked out his favorite shirt, and he wanted his hair put up into a mohawk............he wanted the tips of his mohawk colored red, so we used food coloring.

Tomato Soup

Well, believe it or not, the boy ate his first bowl of soup today. We finally convinced him to try tomato soup and he loved it. I think he really loved putting the crackers in it though!He has slowly been getting a little more adventurous with his eating!

100th Day of School!

Today was Parker's 100th day of kindergarten! We were supposed to make a vest out of a paper bag and decorate it with 100 items, and send a bag with 100 small items (cheerio's, m&m's, raisins, etc.) to school. BUT, mom & dad forgot! We felt so bad. But, Parker's teacher had these cool glasses for everyone, and she said other parent's forgot too. Luckily, Parker never mentioned it!

Children's Theater

Today we went to The Children's Theater for a field trip for Parker's school. We saw "Babe The Sheep Pig". It was really funny and Parker was laughing quite a bit. Parker's good friend Reece was in our group and the 2 boys had a blast on the bus. I think they sat this way the whole way to and from the theater!We weren't allowed to take pictures during the performance, but here is one of Parker before we went in.
Parkie thought it was pretty cool that his mom got to spend the day with him, and he was especially excited that he got to leave early from school instead of riding the bus home!
