Kind and Loving

Today we found out that Phoebe has another cancerous tumor. As I was sitting at the vet crying with Parker and the doctor trying to figure out how we were going to pay for her surgery Parker said "Mommy, you can have my money in my piggy bank to help Phoebe" I was amazed at that moment by how sweet and wonderful my little boy is...... He had $24.00 in his piggy bank, and we had to use it. Luckily our vet trusts us enough to make payments, because even with Parker's generosity, we were quite a bit short. It just made me realize how sweet and wonderful our boy is though....

Soccer!

Parker started soccer today and he will play twice a week for 4 weeks. When he got home he said to me "I love soccer, soccer blew my mind!" I guess he's a little excited about it.Parker is in the yellow shirt, it's sort of hard to tell in the sea of 5 year olds.....
Daddy said he did really well and followed the instructors very closely and was very good at it...

In the picture below the kids were told to take the ball down the field and treat it like it was an egg....Looks like Parks was doing just that...

Pirate Party!!

The big day finally came!!! Parker had his pirate party and 4 of his friends came and played!! Unfortunately it was a rainy day, but in between showers the boys played outside on the new swing set.
We opened presents, played pin the eye patch on the pirate, cracked open a pinata, had cake and ice cream and the boys literally destroyed our basement! It looked like a hurricane went through....
Parker had so much fun and was so happy his friends came over to celebrate his birthday!

Swimming at Grandma Nan's

We went swimming today at Grandma Nan's house and Parker was a brave little man!! I think with a few more times there and he'll be doing cannon balls off the diving board.....well, maybe. He was so excited to go and got right in and walked all over the shallow end.

Daddy joined us after work and they had some fun spinning on the inner tube!! We had dinner there and decided that we are going to make it a weekly tradition so that Park's will hopefully become more used to the water.

We had a ton of fun and hope the weather cooperates so we can go there more often!!

Happy Golden Birthday Parker!

Parker actually only had one present to open on his birthday, his parties will be later in the month..... Auntie Cathy sent this in the mail and the poor kid looked at the box for several days before he could open it!
Auntie Cathy MADE him a beautiful quilt with camouflage and airplanes.....Parker loved it right away and loves sleeping with it. He said it smells so good that Auntie Cathy must have hugged it before she sent it in the mail (evidently she uses nice smelling laundry detergent, but I thought his idea was so cute!)
Mommy and daddy only bought one present for Park's birthday this year and it is a swing set for the back yard!! Here is the tower that Uncle Brian and daddy put together over the weekend.
We only had a little cake for today and will have lots of fun celebrating in a few weeks!

4th of July

Candi, Brian, and Paige came over and spent the day on the 4th of July. We played outside, grilled some yummy food, daddy and Uncle Brian worked on Parker's birthday present, and we had some fun with fireworks! Here's a pretty picture of Paige.....
Here is a picture of one of the parachute fireworks that ended up in the tree....
We had a GREAT time and hope to make it a 4th of July tradition!
