Cheese!
Took Parker to get his 3 year pictures today and while we were waiting we played in the play area. It isn't much but Parker loves it for some reason. He was doing all sorts of new stuff today... He actually climbed on top of this "tent" today and he was jumping off the ladybug in the background.....he was doing all sorts of stunts I've never seen him do before. He was also incredibly well behaved during his photo session. I've never seen him be so cooperative. He was supposed to have his 3 year Dr. appointment today but they called and canceled it because his Dr. was sick.....had to reschedule.

New Game
Daddy & Parker have a new game. It kept them busy for quite some time, and would have kept Parker busy even longer if it wasn't for bed time (35 minutes late!)

Police Cars & Fire Trucks
Today Grandma Jenny took Parker and Lee to the Crystal Shopping Center. They had lots of activities for the kids and clowns, balloons, face painting. Here Parker is getting fingerprinted....
Then the kids got to sit in a police car! They also got to sit in a fire truck!!
Here they got to pet a real K9 dog....Sorry Lee, Grandma apparently isn't the best picture taker!!
There were bouncy castles for the kids to play in too!
Parker said he had lots of fun...... Thank you nana!

So you think you can dance?
This boy loves to dance. Especially to salsa type music. You should see him at Target in that section where you can push all the buttons and listen to CD's before you buy them. He dances like crazy!

Playing? with Alex
Today we had a playdate with Alex. We were going to go to the beach but it looked cloudy....turned out to be beautiful. So, Alex and Dawn came over here. It was an interesting morning. Between Phoebe (our crazy dog) who wants to kiss and love and jump on everyone, and the boys both being a little "off" today, not sure how much playing actually got done.
We decided to take things outside where we discovered that Parker's bike is to small and wasn't working well for him. So, the boys took turns on Alex's bike which Parker later pushed Alex on and they both tipped over in the middle of the street and tears were shed and despite me frantically yelling at Parker to stop pushing, he didn't listen!
They got along the best upon the threat of Alex leaving and they decided to play pretty nicely in Dawn's car for quite some time!
Our house may not be the best house for playdates and that makes me sad!!!

Mor Mor & Pop Pop
Today we went to mor mor & pop pop's (grandma & grandpa O's) house for lunch. When we got there they weren't home so we went to the park and played. There was an old skateboard there and Parker wanted to try it out.
Then he climbed all over the equipment and played in the pools of water that had collected at the bottom of all of the slides.
Daddy did some amazing stunts flying off the swings (at least Parker thought it was amazing!)
Then we went over to mor mor & pop pop's house and played in the pool before lunch.

Beach & Baby
Today Parker, Lee and I headed to the beach again and met Alex and Dawn there. It was a super nice day but the boys just didn't seem that into it today......so we ate an early lunch and headed to the big park that is next to the beach.
Since Parker has developed his new found fear of slides and stairs, etc. he didn't really seem to be having much fun here either. It was so hot that we didn't stay for long.
After dinner Candi & Paige came over and I just thought this was a really cute picture of Paige!
Parker has been really into the movie Monsters Inc. for the past few days, and he has also been doing better with his speech. He says his "K's" really well and can now finish words like "book instead of boo" and "Mack instead of Ma" (from the Cars Movie), he also can finish "boat instead of bo". It's really great how much he has been talking!

Stop and smell the flowers......
Tonight after dinner we went to our friends Jason & Becky's house to see their new baby girl Veronica.....not sure why exactly I have NO pictures! When we came home from there we picked up some sticks in the yard from the storm we had last night....
...everywhere we go, even in our own backyard, Parker loves to stop and smell the flowers....

Library
Took the boy to the library today. He wasn't much interested in the books. He was more interested in playing in the glass room. He loves to read at home, and we did manage to spend about 15 of the 90 minutes we were there reading.
Playing with Alex (above) and standing by the statue? (below)
Parks has been a little difficult with naps lately, I think he might be asleep now, but I put him down 30 minutes ago.....he screams and talks and fake cries for attention. He has also been waking up at night and "needing" things.....water, to go potty (although he NEVER asks to go potty during the day), to be covered up with his blanket, medicine, to be rocked, hugs and kisses....the list goes on......it's making me tired. Please don't let this be the end of naps. I NEED his nap time!!!

EEEWWWW!
Parker had his first wood tick today! Yuck! At least it wasn't stuck in him yet and daddy just picked it off him. Pretty sure he got it at the river, they went after dinner....again, yuck!!
Central Park
Tried to go to the Maple Maze today but they were expecting a bus load of 60 kids and we decided against it....headed to Central Park instead, cousin Lee was with us but I couldn't get a single decent picture of all the kids together! I think they must feel like celebrities with cameras flashing in their cute little faces every day! Here is Parker, Ivy and Alex....

No Cavities!
Parker had his first dentist appointment today. You can see by the pictures how thrilled he was. He actually was very excited about it yesterday and all morning as we talked about it. He let the dentist use the little mirror to look in his mouth and he has no cavities! But there was absolutely NO WAY he was letting them brush or polish his teeth! He did get to pick out a prize from the treasure chest though.
Starting to get a little upset here......almost some tears......

On a happier note: Parker said his name yesterday for the first time!! Now he keeps going up to everyone and saying "me Parker". Matt & I were very excited!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Parker!
Well, my baby is 3. I am happy at what a little person he has become, but sad, almost to the point of tears because he is so grown up already. We had a fun day though.
We picked up cousin Lee and took Parker to his first movie ever....Wall E. He sat so nicely during all the previews and the very beginning of the movie and I thought to myself "wow! we could have done this earlier!" but then he got antsy and wouldn't sit still. I took him out to walk around at one point for a few minutes. Overall I would say he did pretty well. He tried popcorn and actually liked it this time. He also ate a whole bag of gummy worms and a bunch of charleston chews. I think he had more candy today then he's had in his entire life!
We did some playing outside. We got Parker a sand and water table and he had a lot of fun playing with it. We also bought him 3 movies, and I just have to say, I think I like Toy Story 2 even more than the first one! Yes, we watched 2 movies today!!
We got Park's a small little cake for his birthday today and he blew out the candles and it was really cute, as he was shoving cake in his mouth he kept saying "thank you mommy & daddy" he must have said it 5 times. What a sweet little boy....
Below is a video of Parkie playing with his new Builder's Bay sand and water table!

4th of July!
The weather was beautiful today! We went to Grandma & Grandpa O's house for lunch and Parker played in the pool.....he is somewhere in there amongst the toys!
Then Grandma & Grandpa took Parker to Totem Pole Park while Matt and I ran to the store to get grillin' food for dinner....
After nap and while daddy was grillin' Parker played in his sandbox after we moved it and filled it with new sand....

Elm Creek Park
We went to Elm Creek Park today for the first time. Loved it. For those of you that don't know, it is a man made lake and beach. No fish, no seaweed, no yucky stuff. Parker's friends Alex and Ivy were there along with a couple other girls we are just getting to know. Then, a friend from ECFE named Rachel showed up.
Parker really liked playing in the sand and splashing in the water.
It was a little chilly. It's kinda sad that Alex had to wear a sweatshirt and it's the 3rd of July! We are going to buy a summer pass next week and start going more often!
Thank you Dawn & Alex for inviting us!!

Sweaty Boys!
We met our friends Alex and Dawn at the Maple Maze today. For some reason Parker wasn't all that interested in playing there today and he was scared to climb to the top. He has been scared of lots of things lately, he wants me to carry him in parking lots because he is afraid of the cars, he was afraid to go down the slides at the park......I dunno. Maybe it's his age and he is developing his sense of fear.
I had to bribe the boys with a present for them to sit still and smile and let me get 1 good picture, after that I gave them each a toy blimp from the movie Cars.....it worked, what a cute picture!
We decided to go to Central Park and play and have lunch. I didn't know Parker would have so much fun running up a hill and running or rolling down. They got so hot and sweaty and they were dumping water over their heads to cool off.
Here Parker and Alex are after running up the hill 20 times, dumping water over their heads and stomping through dirt. They are such boys!

Maplewood Mall
Today we went to Auntie Candi's house, and yes, this is the best picture I could get of Paige and Parker together.
Auntie Candi and I took Paige, Parker and Lee to Toys R Us and then we went back to Auntie's and had lunch and then we went to the Maplewood Mall and I took Lee and Parker on the carousal. Parker wouldn't actually ride on the horse, he sat on a bench, but he let me take his picture on the horse.
We sat on the top level of the carousal, this is Park's coming down the stairs.
