Christmas Day

The day started out great! Parker found his stocking from Santa and a few little presents that Matt and I got him. Then we went downstairs and Parker got his big present from Santa...A Train Table!! He was very excited!
Then we went to Grandma & Grandpa O's house and he got this huge Richard Scarry book, and a mat to drive his matchbox cars on and lots of cars and a garbage truck.
Unfortunately I ended up coming down with the flu that Parker, and then Matt had. It happened right as we were about to eat. So, the holiday's were a little less fun this year with Matt having the flu Christmas Eve and me having it Christmas Day. But Parker seemed to have a great time and that is all that matters.

Christmas Eve

This is the first present we gave Parker today, he loves it! But we only bought 200 balls and it doesn't nearly fill it up! Tonight we went to Grandma & Grandpa C's to celebrate Christmas. Daddy couldn't go because he has the flu and was throwing up and sleeping all day, we were sad and missed him!! We ate our traditional lasagna and garlic bread, Parker ate a lot! Then we started the madness we call opening presents. It was nuts!! Parker got several cars and trucks and other great stuff!
This is Parker playing with the present Auntie Candi & Uncle Brian got him. When we got home he had to show everything to daddy. Park's stayed up an hour and a half past bedtime!!

Santa!

Christmas 2005 Christmas 2006
Christmas 2007 ~~ Look how much he has grown!
We took Parker to see Santa today. He was so excited. He kept walking up real close and watching the other kids getting their pictures taken and when it was his turn he walked up to Santa and said "go-go". Anyone who has ever met Parker knows that means cars or trucks. He is obsessed with them and told us and Santa and anyone who will listen that that is all he wants for Christmas!

2 Firsts!!

Parker did 2 new things today!!
First we went sledding down a big hill that daddy used to sled on when he was younger. I think it would have been a lot more fun had there not been tornado like winds outside. It made it very cold! This is them coming back up the hill. But the super fantastic thing that he did was go poop on his potty chair! He has always loved sitting on his potty chair, but until today he never did anything on it!! This is how it happened: We were reading books and he was very gassy, I asked him if he had to poop and he went running to the bathroom, pulled down his pants and his new spiderman pull-up diaper and sat on the potty chair and pooped!! What a glorious day!!

Snow & Temper Tantrums

Parker went out and played in the snow today for the first time (I know, we are terrible, it snowed almost a week ago!) He absolutely LOVED it! Matt had to carry him in kicking and screaming. I nearly lost the hearing in my left ear as I was bent down trying to take all of his snowy clothes off. He was angry and didn't want to come in the house. But........it was about 15 degrees out and his cheeks were bright red and even with gloves on his hands were frozen.Phoebe also loves the snow, but her little feet get frozen and she starts to limp.
Parker has his own shovel (with a lifetime gaurantee against breakage!) He was helping daddy make paths in the snow for Phoebe.

Pearly Whites

Parker is getting really good at brushing his teeth. He even spits in the sink now. Matt and I are a little neurotic about our teeth, and maybe it will rub off on Parker. I kinda hope so, he has great teeth, they are so white and perfect!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today we went to Grandma & Grandpa C's house and had Thanksgiving Lunch. Cousin Lee, Auntie Maureen, Candi, Brian, and Paige, Cindy, and John, were all there too. The food was awesome! Parker had a lot of fun and it was just a really nice day.

Wild Parker

We went to Wild Rumpus again today. Parker had fun petting the kitties, chasing the chicken around and looking down at the rats (picture). There were so many kids there and Parker was so amped up that he didn't even care about the books, he ran around that place like a maniac! We went to Target earlier in the day and he ran around that place like a maniac too! Come to think of it, that's all he does!!! I wish I could remember what it is like to have that much energy....

School, playdate and snow?

Today after class Alex and his mom Dawn, and Ivy and her mom Melissa came over and we played in the playroom. Then we went upstairs for lunch and it started to snow!!! So we went outside and played in the snow for a little bit. This is the extent of the snow.....it didn't last long!
It was freezing out but the kids had a blast moving the pumpkin bags around.

Leaves, leaves, leaves

We played outside in the leaves tonight. Matt raked a big pile under Parker's swing and then he would crash through them when we pushed him. Kinda cold tonight. So we went in and played in the playroom!

Let's Play

So, the playroom is done...We all enjoy having a place with lots of room to play and Parker loves it down there! Grandma Jenny made the curtains with cool cars and trucks on them!
Lots of toys, and Matt had to have a map...it's a map of all the animals in the world.
It took me about 8 hours to get all the stripes done!
We even painted the doors!

Happy Halloween!

Parker had a great day today! He went to Ruby Tuesday's for lunch with Grandma Jenny and Great Grandma Marie. They had one of those candy bowls where the hand comes down and touches you as you reach for the candy. I guess he became a master at getting his candy quickly! Then they went to Great Grandma Marie's and her building was having a Halloween party and there was a clown there and I guess Parker had a blast. Grandma Jenny even asked me if he really needed a nap because she didn't want to take him home since he was having so much fun. I of course had a flashback of the only other time he didn't get a nap and I made her take him home (but a half hour later than normal!)
After dinner we drove out to Grandma and Grandpa C's and Parker rang his first ever trick-or-treat doorbell. We only went to a couple houses, but man, he got a lot of candy! He was so excited.
Then we drove out to Grandma and Grandpa O's and he got some cute cupcakes and 4 trucks and lots more candy and a really cute card that plays music when you open it. Parker loved that. He had a lot of fun there running around like a maniac while Grandma Arbye chased him all over the house. He was so amped up by the time we left! He only went to one other house in that neighborhood.
He got to bed a little late tonight, but I think he had a great time today. We are sad that Halloween is over.

Perfect Fall Day

Today was a beautiful fall day. Parker and daddy raked some leaves and played outside, even though Parker has a cold. Nothing stops this kid!He actually stood still long enough to take a good picture!
Today we also found out that Park's qualifies for speech therapy through the school, at least until he turns 3. The different people who observed/tested him thought he was an amazingly smart boy. He almost didn't qualify because he understands so much and knows so much. Now we just have to get him talking. They will start off coming to the house twice a month for therapy and then add more if needed. We are very excited to get going with this so we can hear what our little guy has to say!

This is the pumpkin that Matt carved tonight. Parker is really getting into Halloween and LOVES this pumpkin. Matt did a pretty good job don't ya think?

Monster Cake

Parker is so excited about Halloween! Which makes Matt & I very happy since we love Halloween too! This is a monster cake that Grandma Jenny got for Parker, he loves it. We decorated our house inside and out for Halloween this year and we will be bringing Parker Trick-or-Treating to a few houses, even though he won't say trick-or-treat, and we probably won't let him eat any candy! I know, we are so mean!

Maple Maze

On Friday the 19th we took Parker and Lee to the Maple Maze. They both ran around like maniacs.... This is them on their way up to the giant slide...
Almost there! This was the first time Parker went down the slide, it is so high up that daddy has never quite made it all the way up with him. With a little encouragement from cousin Lee, Parker made it down the yellow slide!!

Choo Choo Bob's

On Thursday the 18th Matt took Lee and Parker to Choo Choo Bob's. Parker is really getting into trains. I think we are going to get him a train table for Christmas. Notice the black eye? Parker came running out of his room with a blanket over his head and ran right into the corner of the kitchen table!

Oh No!

Well, the day has finally come......Parker climbed out of his crib today. Matt and I heard a loud THUD and I ran to his room. He was just standing there, looking confused, with a big red circle on his forehead......no tears. I guess it's just about time for a "big boy" bed.

Room to Play!

Since Matt is temporarily laid off from work we decided it was time to get this playroom done! Three of the walls are painted blue and I have been working for 3 days on this striped wall! Matt painted the closet door orange and the inside of the main door green. We will be getting the carpet later this week and then LET THE FUN BEGIN!

Happy Boy!

Today we went to the open house at the Fire Station. Parker was so happy and excited. The firemen showed us around the whole station, Parker got to sit in a aerial ladder truck, a fire engine, and a Mobile Command Unit. They also had a big blow up air castle for kids to play in and he got a fireman hat and coloring book. In the picture he is giving a fireman a high five! I think it may have been the highlight of his life!!

Cousins

Today we had cousin Lee over because he had no school. Auntie Candi and baby Paige also came over and spent some time with us. Parker LOVES when his cousins come over!

Trains and Parks

Today while I was at work Matt took Parker to the BNSF Train Yard. Parker is quickly becoming fascinated with trains. I guess it was so loud there today that they could only stay about 5 minutes. After dinner we went to Grandview Park. We stayed until it was dark.
Parks climbed on lots of stuff....higher than I've ever seen him.
He's turning into quite the monkey!

Very serious about his climbing.....

Love

Yup, Parker LOVES baby Paige! Auntie Candi and baby Paige came over today to babysit Parker while I went to work. Parks wanted to touch her and hug and kiss her. And of course he poked her in the eye again! Auntie Candi said he was a very good boy today. After dinner daddy took Parker to Langton Lake Park again while I was at work.

Friends

After our ECFE class today we played at the playground with some friends. Time to say goodbye...Parker and Alex hugging, and Ivy waiting for her turn.
We all walked back to our cars together. This is Ian, Ivy, Alex, and Parker all holding hands.
Parker's in the back doing a little dance. Goofball.
