Merry Christmas

We made it to Grandma & Grandpa O's house alive! But it was a scary drive, the roads were still pretty bad from the snowstorm. But we wouldn't have missed it! Parks was so excited to open all his presents, this kid is a little spoiled. Waiting for daddy to get the box open......
A super cool Pirate cup!! He also got a Tag Reader book system and he loves it, he got some warm Jammie's and trucks and lots of other things too....

Christmas Eve

Despite "The Snowstorm of the Century" we made it to nana & papa's for Christmas Eve. We had our usual lasagna for dinner and Parker was threatened that he couldn't open presents unless he ate all of his dinner! He spilled half of it on his shirt though. You should have heard him telling Paige she also had to eat her supper if she wanted to open presents!
Once again he walked away with quite the haul of stuff. Here he is opening a Star Wars gun from Lee..... He just keeps ripping into them....
Hmmmm, wonder what's in this bag??

Here is a video of Parker opening one of the presents from mommy & daddy in the morning....

He almost crashed into the camera woman (mommy) he came running up to me and said "I love you!!"

Parker had his Christmas Program at preschool tonight and he was Joseph!! The kids sang a bunch of songs and everyone did a great job. Here is Parker with his teacher Mrs. Nelson
All of the kids had to draw a picture of their character for the tables and here is Parker's picture of Joseph.

Really?

Could Santa look any less enthusiastic? Could Parker look any more freaked out? This is his 5th picture with Santa, and the first one where he is not sitting on Santa's lap with a huge smile on his face. Nice.

Yummy!

Dawn & Alex came over today to play and Dawn brought some Rice Krispie Bars and frosting and candy so the boys could decorate some trains........The licorice didn't quite make it to the train.....
I think they were doing more eating than decorating!
But it does look pretty cute!
Thanks for coming over today guys!!

Kitty

We lost our poor Kitty today. He was 17 years old and his health had been declining lately. This cat was always very patient and loving with Parker and very tolerant of a boy curious about whiskers and tails and ears......
He was a wonderful cat and will be greatly missed!

But we knew it was the best thing for our family......
Look at these two.......They love each other so much.

Country Fair & Cool Fort!

Tonight daddy built Parker a super cool fort under his bed. They call it Echo Base. This first picture is with the flash on.... Here it is in the dark, they have a couple of cool lamps in the fort and 2 flashlights.
Parker John thinks it's pretty awesome. I'm not sure who likes it better though, Parker or daddy. Parker pretends that mommy is a princess and they are keeping me safe in the fort from the mean wampa's (dogs)......

Earlier in the day we went to Parker's school Country Fair. It is a fundraiser for his preschool and they had lots of games and a silent auction and lunch and of course the bouncy castle.

The kids got to write on the tables ( I volunteered at the fair and actually taped down the very paper the boy is writing on!)

It was a pretty fun day for all!

Little Sportster's

Signed Parker up for a class through Community Ed. Each week he tries a different sport, this week it was bowling. Parker is the one with the red shirt with black sleeves (kinda hard to tell from far away). The class meets for 6 weeks.

Zoo Time

Went to the Zoo with the Knight's again. Walked through a lot of the inside but spent most of the day outside! It was very nice for November and for some reason Parker has never looked at the outside stuff at the Zoo (maybe because there is so much to do inside and we are tired by the time we finish!)
There is a little playground area, and even though it's not much different than any park the boys loved it.
Here they are fishing....
and digging for dinosaur bones....
Here we are on the monorail that they beg to go on every time.....and this is what they do every time....look through the cracks.....What? There are animals at the zoo?? Who would've thought?
We spent some time with the dolphins while waiting for the monorail and Parker actually got splashed and his hair and back were wet, he was so excited about it!!

Bumblebee

Happy Halloween!! Parker was Bumblebee from the Transformers. Don't confuse this with an actual Bumble Bee. It makes him mad.
I made him wear glow sticks, and he wasn't happy about it....BUT, he got lots of compliments on them. Daddy and Lee took Parkie Trick-or-Treating around our neighborhood and they came home 45 minutes later...he was done...had enough!

*This is an actual picture of Bumblebee taken from the Wikipedia Website.

Truckin'

Today Roger (or Uncle Roger as Parker calls him) showed up at our house with his truck so Parker could see it. Parker was happy to see the cab and where Roger sleeps but he was really disappointed that the trailer wasn't with......so.......Daddy and Parker went with Uncle Roger to pick up his load and Parker got to stand in the trailer!!!
Every little boys dream!!
Thanks Uncle Roger!!

Pumpkin Carving!

Starting at 7:30 am this morning all Parker would talk about was how excited he was that he got to pick out a pumpkin and decorate it today with mor mor and pop pop!!Above is the Pirate pumpkin he did with mor mor and below is the pumpkin he did with pop pop.
They took him to the 101 Market to pick out his pumpkins and he got to play in the corn pit (no corn in his nose this time!) and ride on the train. He said he had a wonderful day!

Thanks Grandma & Grandpa O!!!

Wow! What a day!

Dawn & Alex came over today......the plan was to go whoop it up at the 101 Market but it was pouring miserable rain all day..... We ended up going to the 101 Market anyway but the only thing open was the "indoor" corn pit. I say "indoor" only because it was freezing and it was in a greenhouse type thing with cold air coming in. We were sooooo cold! Parker had fun, but somehow managed to get a hard piece of corn lodged up his nose and almost to his brain. He wouldn't blow it out, and I tried to retrieve it with a tweezers but it wasn't happening. He was freaking out at the thought of having to go to the doctor.....I was on the phone with urgent care trying to decipher if this was such an incident that one would need to come in for when somehow the boy got it out!! For the record, urgent care said yes, I probably should come in.

During dinner the boy ate pork chops, mashed potatoes, and stuffing! You are probably thinking to yourself "so what" ........BUT, these are things that previously Parker would gag and cry at if put on his plate. He ate them all, no fight and even asked for more potatoes and pork chops. Who is this kid??
After dinner it was off to Karate where Parker earned his first red stripe on his belt!!!
Amazing!!

It's October.....

You know what that means!! Time to start decorating for Halloween!! We went to Grandma & Grandpa O's house for dinner tonight......
and after dinner Parker helped Mor Mor decorate the door.....
Mighty fine job, wouldn't you say?!
